Are you ready for the cycling experience of a lifetime? If you love adventure, scenic coastal roads, and the thrill of a long-distance challenge, then this is for you!
Weβre putting together an epic cycling journey from Altea, Spain, to Sesimbra, Portugal (or vice versa!)βcovering an incredible 965 km (603 miles) over 7 to 10 days.
The Plan
- Route: Altea πͺπΈ β Sesimbra π΅πΉ (or Vice Versa)
- Distance: 965 km (603 miles)
- Duration: 7β10 days (based on group pace)
- Best Time to Ride: Between Easter and mid-October (avoiding peak summer heat)
- Support: A dedicated Douzelage volunteer vehicle for supplies, bike parts & luggage
- Accommodation: Affordable stays along the route (cost shared among cyclists)
- Meals: Breakfast, lunch, and dinner (flexible & discussed with the group)
Who Can Join?
This ride is open to cyclists aged 18+, with each rider responsible for their own insurance and well-being. The support vehicle will be there for emergencies, but this is a self-supported group challengeβso teamwork and camaraderie are key!
