TIMELINE
Following the withdrawal of Lithuanian partner town Prenei, a new partner is found as the GM unanimously accepts Rokiškis in the north west of Lithuania to be the new representative town.
The 43rd Douzelage General Meeting is held in the Swedish partner town of Oxelösund.
To update to reflect the latest memberships of Douzelage, a new codicil is signed at the 42nd General Meeting in Bad Kötzting, Germany.
Cezary Salamończyk is made honorary president of Douzelage. Mike Balfour and Mario Calleja are both made honorary Vice Presidents of Douzelage. The three served on the board from 2010 to 2016.
The 42nd General Meeting is held in our German partner town of Bad Kötzting with the theme “Refugees in Europe – a challenge for us as Europeans, which we can only manage jointly. Europe has to get to the citizens again.”
Annigje Luns-Kruytbosch (NL) is elected as the fifth President of Douzelage. Mette Grith Sørensen (DK), Miha Ješe (SL) and Tiberiu Rotaru (RO) are elected by absolute majority as Vice Presidents of Douzelage.
Rovinj-Rovingo, Croatia is ratified at the General Meeting in Tryavna, Bulgaria and joins Douzelage
The 41st Douzelage General Meeting is held in our Bulgarian partner town of Tryavna.
